At dawn on May 11, COSCO Shipping Yang?Pu,?China’s first methanol dual-fuel container vessel, completed bunkering of approximately 900 tons of methanol fuel at Shanghai Port. The operation, fully supported by Sinochem Petrochemical Distribution, marks a key milestone for green shipping in China.

To ensure efficiency and safety, Sinochem Petrochemical Distribution assembled a dedicated team and, in accordance with international marine methanol standards?and based on vessel needs and port conditions, developed a comprehensive plan covering quality control, logistics, and emergency response. The operation was completed with “zero errors,” setting a benchmark for future methanol bunkering operations.
