The first rail freight train fully loaded with 1,000 tons of diesel oil departed Sinochem Quanzhou Petrochemical (SQP) plant at 16:00 on February 25 along the dedicated rail line and at 13:00 on February 28, it reached the leased cooperative state oil depot No.256 (in Binjiang Town, Yichun, Jiangxi) of Sinochem Oil Jiangxi Co., Ltd. to help the resumption of work and production in Ganxi area.

By breaking the bottleneck of transporting?solely by water and roads so as to pioneer a “pathway” for Sinochem Oil Jiangxi Co., Ltd. to collaboratively sell SQP resources, the opening of this dedicated rail line will embrace a new pattern for collaboration between refining and marketing of Sinochem Energy.

Later, SQP oil will be supplied to Fujian, Hunan, Hubei, Sichuan, Chongqing, and other areas by rail. SQP has buoyed oil sellers to offer price support to end distribution through the “l(fā)inkage between purchasing and marketing”, thus stabilizing oil prices and furnishing continued high-quality oil supplies for customers during the COVID-19 prevention and control.

It is reported that the SQP dedicated rail line lengthens 1.73 km from its starting point out to the connection station and 17.4 km within the plant, boasting of four tank washing lines and seven loading lines. The inclusion of Chao Phraya branch line enables its arrival across China, with an annual capacity up to 2 million tons.
